Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS Law) Announces Merger with Christianson Law

Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP (TDS Law) is pleased to announce our recent agreement to enter into partnership with Christianson Law, based in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The merged firms, with our expanded geographic presence, will be better enabled to provide a full range of legal services to clients located in the areas traditionally served by Christianson Law, while continuing to offer the services of the same local lawyers and offices.

Barney Christianson, Managing Partner of Christianson Law says, “TDS brings to this partnership its experience in every major field of law, its lawyers who are acknowledged authorities in those fields, and enough lawyer-power to deliver on time, no matter what the circumstances. We bring our local experience, our knowledge of life in rural Manitoba, a dedicated and knowledgeable staff and, most importantly, a clear understanding of what is important to our clients.”

The addition of Barney Christianson, Lucy Kinnear, and the offices located in the Manitoba communities of Portage la Prairie, MacGregor and Gladstone will add to the geographic foot print of TDS Law, allowing the firm to better serve rural clients.

Clients of Christianson Law in rural Manitoba will now have direct access to TDS lawyers in Winnipeg, offering the benefit of a wide range of legal services including tax law, expropriation, labour & employment, environmental law, intellectual property, business immigration and others.

Don Douglas, CEO and Managing Partner of TDS Law says “We are very pleased to be embarking on this path. The combined resources of our Winnipeg and Portage offices will enable us to continue the high level of service provided by Christianson Law to the Portage area.”
